SOČA VALLEY TIPS

The mountainous world of the Julian Alps, the pristine nature of the Triglav National Park and the refreshing Soča river make Soča valley one of the most beautiful hiking destinations.

The hiking trails boast magnificent views of streams and waterfalls, quiet Alpine forests, and a wide range of plants and animals that live in what many people consider the most beautiful part of the Julian Alps.

Kozjak waterfall

Not far from Kobarid, above the emerald green Soča River, there is a gorge of the Kozjak stream, where the 15-metre-high Kozjak Waterfall particularly stands out. This popular natural sight creates the image of a heavenly corner hidden from the everyday world by tall, dark walls, covered in limestone sediments, just like in the karstic caves.

Mangartsko sedlo 01.jpg

Mangart saddle & mountain

The highest alpine road in Slovenia leads to a botanically rich area with an incredible view, located under Mangart mountain, the fourth highest peak in Slovenia. It is a 45 min drive from Bovec.

Hikers, cyclists, botanical enthusiasts, lovers of nature and explorers of the alpine world - an alpine paradise awaits you on Mangart saddle.
