I booked a tour of the soca valley for my family. We have 2 boys age 14 and 12. The 12 year old is going through a very grumpy stage and is very opposed to walking. Perfectly capable just very grumpy.
Miha was amazing with him and engaged with him straight away. So much so that my son thought it was one of the best days of our trip.
We saw lots of sights, rivers and waterfalls and was exactly what we wanted.
Miha also demonstrated diving into the very cold soca river, which my 12 year old thought was amazing and did it with him.
Highly recommend this group. Tailored our trip to exactly what we wanted.

We worked with Mateja and had a great experience! She customized our wine tour experience for us, starting with a stop in the cute village of Karst, a beautiful and innovative vineyard, and concluding with a fantastic meal at a Michelin starred restaurant. We had such a great experience exploring the Soča Valley with Discover Soča Tours agency. We spent three guided days travelling through the Soča valley all the way to Kranjska Gore, and even Cividale in Italy. Everything was smooth, relaxed and very well organized.
A big thank you to Mateja and Miha, they were warm, friendly, helpful and made the whole trip feel very personal. We loved the beautiful places we saw along the way, the stories and local tips, and even the little stop for ice cream near Cividale, which became one of those simple but memorable moments from the trip. It never felt like a typical tour. It felt more like spending time with people who really know and love the area.
Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We would gladly recommend them and book with them again!

My husband and I spent a full day exploring with Mateja, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Slovenia.

Mateja knows every nook and cranny of the Soča River Valley, and we felt incredibly fortunate to experience it through her eyes. She is an exceptionally kind, knowledgeable, and thoughtful guide who gave us a day we’ll never forget.

Our tour included Kozjak Waterfall, the Šunik Water Grove, the Soča River Gorge, and the Trenta Valley. Along the way, we learned so much about the area’s flora, fauna, history, and culture, which made us appreciate this beautiful region even more.

For lunch, Mateja took us to a traditional Slovenian restaurant that served one of the best meals of our entire trip. I’m still dreaming about the foraged porcini mushrooms!

When we return to Slovenia, the first thing on our list will be booking their 3-day Seven Triglav Lakes Valley hike. We can’t recommend Discover Soča Tours highly enough. Thank you, Mateja, for an unforgettable day!

Our family had a fantastic day exploring on the Julian Alps Tour with Mateja. Mateja was full of knowledge about the history, the land, and how to weave together a very full day seeing so many sights of the Soca Valley. The natural sights were stunning, the van was very comfortable, the background shared by Mateja was very interesting, and the time simply flew by. 5 stars is not a high enough rating for the amazing experience we had with Mateja from Discover Soca Tours. My sister and I spent two full days with her. Day 1 we spent throughout southern Slovenia and Ljubljana. Not only did Mateja get us to our desired destinations, she also provided a great deal of history and information regarding the areas we went through. On the second day, she picked us up at our hotel in Opatija, drove us along the coast on our way to Motovun and Grozjnan, arranged a private Istrian wine tasting, and lastly dropped us at our next hotel in Rovinj. By the end of the second day, we felt like old friends. From the very first inquiry about booking a trip through the end, she was always in prompt contact. We highly recommend and hope to go on tour with Mateja again!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Miha. From the very beginning, he was incredibly friendly, professional, and welcoming. He was not only our driver but also an excellent guide who shared so much knowledge about the region, its history, culture, and hidden gems.

My wife and I engaged Miha to guide us around the Soča Valley, and honestly, it exceeded every expectation we had.

The first day was rainy, and we were worried we’d miss out on the views we’d been looking forward to. Miha quickly reshuffled the itinerary based on the weather, and it paid off — we got every view we came for. The photos we took are proof enough of that!

He also pointed us to Hiša Polonka in Kobarid for dinner, which turned out to be one of the best meals of the entire trip. Great food, great atmosphere — a brilliant recommendation.

Miha clearly knows and loves this part of Slovenia, and it shows in everything he does. If you’re planning a trip here, don’t think twice about reaching out to this agency. Highly recommend!

Had one of our best experiences ever with Discover Soca Tours in Slovenia. We booked a private guided day tour of Triglav National Park and the Soca Valley, and it was brilliant from start to finish. Miha was professional, helpful and very responsive before we arrived. On the day, he collected us from our accommodation in a private minibus and took us to incredible viewpoints, mountains, gorges and waterfalls. Even with some bad weather, the day was still memorable. Miha was friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions. I cannot rave enough about this company! I am traveling solo through Slovenia as a retired female and I wanted an immersive experience through the Soča Valley on one of my days in the Alpine region. I reached out to Discover Soča several months before my trip and they were able to customize a perfect journey for me on the day I was to transfer from Lake Bohinj to Kransjka Gora. The lovely Mateja met me and my luggage at the Most na Soci train station and from there began a private and utterly mind blowing adventure through the breathtaking Soča Valley and beyond! Because the weather was forecasted to be quite poor in the afternoon, Mateja was so flexible and allowed me to start the tour very early in the morning so we could stay ahead of the weather and maximize the morning. It was the perfect decision and allowed me to still experience everything planned. The beauty of this region is beyond description (even on a wet and overcast day), and Mateja was a perfect guide and was such a pleasure to spend time with. She customized the experience for me as we went along and as she got to know my travel style. For example, when she learned that I am a foodie and love delving into local traditional cuisine, she adapted the itinerary so I could try some authentic regional dishes for a relaxing lunch. And at the end of the tour she brought me to my new destination in Kranjska Gora, pointed out the worthwhile things to do there, and literally delivered me right to my Airbnb door with all my luggage. It was an incredible experience start to finish and the price was so reasonable for all that it included. Don't hesitate to book a tour with Discover Soča! Amazing tour agency. We did the Julian Alps guided tour from Ljubljana and had one of the best tour ever on our travelking around the Wourld. Absolutely the best thing we did during our time in Bovec! We did a guided hike with Miha, Velika Babinski Skadenj, and it was incredible, but I am sure any experience with this team would be as good. Miha and the agency have a clear passion for the area and care for their guests, and I truly feel we experienced a hike we would not have been able to find or do on our own with a rental car, and was unlike hikes other most other tourists would have done.

We had the most amazing three days with Miha and Mateja exploring the Soča Valley and beyond.
Both Miha and Mateja are very experienced and knowledgeable drivers and guides, who go out of their way to make clients happy whilst always providing useful information and insights on the country and region.
They are of course experts in the Soča Valley and surrounding area, and are able to organise outdoor activities for guests as well as local tours.
In our case Mateja took us around the region in a driving tour, including accompanying us to exclusive wine tastings in the Goriska Brda region and a short trip to Italy in Friuli.
They are also experts in Slovenia in general: Miha drove us around the country to and from Llubjana to see some of the best known sights such as Bled, as well as a few amazing off the beaten track locations.
Finally they can organise very reasonably priced transfers to/from Ljubljana or Venice and more…
We would highly recommend them without hesitation !

We did the Bovec E-bike guided tour and saw so many interesting points on our way such as Virje and Boka waterfall, some suspension bridges over Soca river and Soca gorge with great Lepena valley. We arranged an extensive tour that showed us parts of Slovenia we would never have discovered ourselves. Our tour guide Miha was an amazing driver and very knowledgeable with the history of the areas we visited. We did the rafting and our guide, Necari, was fantastic! Our driver, Gilmer, was also very helpful and friendly. What an amazing experience! Absolutely beautiful environment and great fun. Don't skip a rafting tour on the Soča River!

Our group of 3 had an amazing tour with Miha. We saw all the major highlights of the area and Miha took amazing photos of our group! Two of us had never ridden an e-bike and Miha did a great job ensuring we felt comfortable on the bikes and tailored the path to our level. We were delighted with how far we rode and the places we visited. 10 out 10 would do it again!!

We had a fabulous e-bike tour with our guide Miha! He took great care of us and personalized our experience perfectly! He is very knowledgeable, helpful, caring and delightful to spend time with! We couldn’t have been happier with our experience. We did a lot of stops on the way and Miha showed us many beautiful places that Soca valley has to offer, such us waterfalls, gorges and many more…We highly recommend the tour!

Great guide who kindly arranged all of our activities at Soca Valley….. kids loved it and we had the best time. Miha is a great guy who accommodated all our needs and he personally took us on a great bicycle tour with pit stops to refresh in the river which we thoroughly enjoyed!!
Definitely recommend Discover Soca Tours if you are at Soca Valley, on our last night he turned up to join us for a drink at our hotel and handed us a little gift, a lovely gesture on his behalf .

We did the Soca valley day tour from Goriška brda and we enjoyed the tour very much. Seen a lot of the Julian Alps, the fortress of Kluze, Soca river with the big gorge and beautiful waterfalls of Virje and Boka. If you are in the region I recommend the day tour to Soca valley a lot!

My girlfriend and I took a guided tour of the Julian Alps, we were in Bled, but they came to pick us up and we did this beautiful tour. We saw amazing waterfalls, large lakes, some incredible mountain scenery and finally the amazing Soca River with its gorge. This incredible nature is worth seeing.

The agency organised our outdoor vacation in Soça valley. They organised the transfer from Venice airport to Bovec and back. We also went on a rafting tour, did a biking tour around Soça valley and went ziplining. Perfect holidays and great organisation!

We visited the valley with the family and we took the guided tour of Bovec and Kobarid. We were amazed by the beautiful river Soca and all the waterfalls like Kozjak, Boka and Virje. You need to visit Soca valley when in Slovenia!

We could not have been happier with our tour with Mateja! We only had one day in the Soča valley and she planned a tour to make sure we saw as much as possible. We had lunch in a charming town, went to a natural wine shop, and had the most magical day exploring. We learned so much from Mateja, and she went above and beyond by sharing photos and tips for the rest of our trip after the tour as well. Thank you Discover Soĉa Tours & Transfers for organising such an unforgettable experience! From the first email to the final goodbye, I felt well supported and looked after by Mateja and Miha.

As a young female solo traveller, travelling in off season, it would have been impossible to see everything I wanted using public transport. Thankfully, Mateja and Miha were able to adapt to my budget and make my dreams a reality!

My objective was to see the highlights of the Soĉa Valley, and we did just that (and more!). From visiting incredible natural gems to trying local Slovenian cuisine, together, we certainly achieved a lot across a 3 day transfer and tour itinerary.

Having a knowledgeable and friendly guide like Mateja really made the whole experience even more amazing. You can tell she is very passionate about her country, its traditions and its people, so I learnt so much more than I could have than by doing it on my own (plus, it is always nice to have someone there to take pictures of you!).

Soča valley is absolutely amazing if you are an adrenaline frick. We used Hotel Boka as our base and Miha form the agency in the hotel arrange some of the activities for us. The highlight was for sure the canyon Fratarica. Don't miss it!
